Activity Description

This is a featured CE activity on the Center for Specialty Pharmacy Education (CSPE) website. CSPE is the educational hub of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP). This activity was originally presented during the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy Fourth Annual Meeting & Expo held in Washington, DC. This Keynote session focused on patent, technology and drug trends in the specialty market as well as future market growth and the role of specialty pharmacy.

Learning Objectives

The target audience for this activity is pharmacists. Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify 2016 trends and future market growth in specialty pharmacy.
  • Describe key trends regarding patent cliffs, new technologies, and changes in drug treatments.
  • Discuss the impact of brand, generic, and specialty pharmacy products in 2016 and beyond.
  • Discuss specialty pharmacy's current and future role in the specialty market.
