Activity Description

This educational activity will describe the impact of hyperglycemia in the critical care setting, as well as research on the development of clinical targets for optimal glycemic control. The author, Cathy Moore, will discuss appropriate management of hyperglycemia in critically ill patients, including current authoritative recommendations. She will also describe the benefits of electronic software programs that support individualized dosing protocols and have become the gold standard for insulin infusion management.

  4. You may be prompted to open or save
    • Choose "Save" and select a location easy to find, such as your desktop
    • Alternatively, you may be able to save the file directly in your Kindle's "Documents" folder, in which case you may skip to step 6
  5. Open your Kindle drive, and you will see several folders inside – one of which will be labeled "Documents"
    • This is the folder that downloaded Kindle content is moved into
  6. Locate downloaded file, and drag or copy file into the "Documents" folder in your Kindle
  7. Eject/undock Kindle and your new eBook will appear on your Kindle's "Home" screen

Wireless/3G Instructions:

  1. Download iBooks app from App Store if not previously installed
  2. Navigate Safari browser to: www.proce.com/infmng
  3. Click iPad/iPhone ePub file link
  4. Once link is open, click "Open in 'iBooks'" button
  5. The monograph should now be in your iBooks app
Nook (.ePub)

Nook Web Instructions:

  1. Open Nook browser to: www.proce.com/infmng
  2. Click and download ePub file for Nook
  3. The file will be saved in the Nook library in the folder "My Downloads"

USB Instructions:
