Activity Description

This is a featured CE activity on the Center for Specialty Pharmacy Education (CSPE) website. CSPE is the educational hub of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP). This activity was originally presented during the 2020 NASP Virtual Conference. This panel discussion will review key data points and patient-reported outcomes measures. Ways to measure disease-specific outcomes will also be examined.

Learning Objectives

The target audience for this activity is pharmacists. Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize data points associated with appropriate, effective use of specialty medications.
  • Review patient reported outcomes measures (PROMS) that health system specialty pharmacies are uniquely positioned to track.
  • Propose ways to move beyond tracking operational data points and begin measuring disease-specific outcomes.
