Activity Description

Join CIDRAP-ASP for a webinar reviewing diagnostics as a part of antimicrobial stewardship program implementation from an African perspective. Speakers will cover experiences implementing antimicrobial stewardship programs in their regions, and how to optimize access to and the use of diagnostics in ASPs from an African perspective.

Target Audience

The target audience for this activity includes pharmacists and physicians.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
  • Discuss the unique challenges of implementing antimicrobial stewardship programs in Africa.
  • Describe the types of diagnostic tools that are available in the region, and how they are used to complement antimicrobial stewardship programs.
  • Utilize the microbiology lab in the diagnosis of infectious diseases and surveillance of AMR.
